8 Ways To Style Your Motorcycle Leather Jacket This Fall

We’ve all had those days when we want to feel like complete badasses and the first item of clothing that comes to mind is a leather jacket. These babies can make you go from sweet and sugary to hot and spicy within seconds!

But have you been in a situation where you throw on that jacket and aren’t quite satisfied with what it’s doing to your entire ensemble and so settle for something else to keep you warm for the day?

Believe it or not, this happens all too often with most of us. While a leather jacket can make you look effortlessly chic, styling them can be quite tricky - so most of the times, we all go for the easier, safer option.

Here are some ways that you can style a leather jacket without hesitating right before stepping foot outside the door. Pick your look!

  1. Keeping it basic

Style your leather jacket with a pair of jeans (go for the light wash in the day and the dark wash in the evening). You can choose to wear this look with a plunging neckline for added oomph or keep it simple with a tank top or a classic tee. Try our Quilted Throttle Classic I jacket.

 2. Go monochromatic

This look works great for anyone who is slightly shorter in height and doesn’t want to add the break in length with colour blocks or contrasting colours. The key here is to not literally wear the same colour from top to bottom but to switch it up by wearing different shades of the same colour family. For example, you could pair a camel coloured leather jacket with dark fawn pants and a beige top. Try our Quilted Throttle Classic II jacket.

 3. The evergreen look

Everyone loves the good ol’ all black look – this is probably one of the easiest ensembles to throw together. The good thing about this look is that you can literally wear anything with your leather jacket as long as they are all stark black! Dress this look up with a few chunky accessories or make it grunge with some ripped jeans and boots or wear it with a deep neck and some delicate jewellery for a flirty look (best for date night). Moto Jacket is our best option in evergreen look.

4. The girlboss

Nothing looks more put-together than adding a belt to any kind of blazer. In order to achieve this look, wear a leather jacket with a pencil skirt and a slightly low neckline; then add a belt to the thinnest part of your waist to achieve a business-like vibe. The point is to not let your blouse show and let the belt be the key piece of your outfit. Our Classic Biker jacket comes with leather belt.

5. The classic vintage look

If you’re looking to get those vintage vibes from the 80’s and 90’s flowing, all you gotta do is wear a motorcycle leather jacket with some high-waisted pants (you could go for boot cuts, straight leg, skinny fit or even wide leg pants) and a basic tank or tee. The key here is to focus on the high-waisted look. Throw on some pointed toe stilettoes for that added drama! Try our Crop Biker Jacket.

6. The spicy mama

This look is purr-fect for date night. All you need to pull this off is a slip dress paired with some accessories (chunky preferably). You can wear this look with either nice low to mid ankle boots or if you’re feeling a little extra, you can wear your trusty pointed toe stilettoes. This look is the best example of balancing out flirty with hardcore badass! The Racer II jacket will give you that extra look.

7. Layer it up

Have you ever thought about wearing a leather jacket under something? We usually go for the obvious way to wear a leather jacket i.e. keeping it as the top-most layer. This has to change now if you like to switch things up and experiment with your style. Try wearing your jacket underneath a nice, chunky sleeveless knit– it’ll add such a fun twist. Though, keep in mind that this look is only doable for an outdoor occasion - otherwise, you might melt! Try our Blazer Jacket for this look.

8. The nerdy but edgy look

Try pairing your leather jacket with a nice, crisp white shirt and a pair of straight fitting pants or jeans. Make sure to pop a button or two to make the neckline slightly flirtatious. Throw on some laced leather school shoes (with a rounded toe). Accessorize with a cute pair of glasses (for the full-blown nerd vibe) and something delicate around the neck to draw attention to it. Classic Rider jacket is preferable for this kind of look.
